Last week the Zeugwerk team had a photoshoot. We wanted to make the people behind Zeugwerk more visible and deliberately chose a familiar setting: a place where we are at work throughout the year, alongside, for, and with our customers in mechanical and plant engineering.
We have worked very successfully on machine projects with our long-standing colleagues Bernhard Fock, Nando Plötzeneder, and the team at Plötzeneder GmbH for years. Being able to do the photoshoot on their shop floor meant more to us than it might sound at first.
Day-to-day, the people at Zeugwerk are often working behind the scenes: tinkering, steering, thinking through strategy, implementing, optimising, and fine-tuning. What accompanied me during the shoot was not a new insight, but one I am happy to say out loud: every successful project needs the right foundation.
Because whether it is a photoshoot or PLC software, neither works through improvisation. Both require a team that knows exactly what it is doing, a sense of precision, and a genuine interest in understanding the sometimes fluid boundary between people and machines.
That is exactly the kind of people who stand behind Zeugwerk. Our work is more than a job, and our shared conviction makes us strong as a team: even the best solution is just theory if it is not built on a real understanding of the challenge.
Just as in a good photograph, what matters in PLC development is not only the result. Heart, commitment, and passion, combined with know-how, technical skill, and the awareness that change is a constant we can count on: that is how requirements become real Zeugwerk solutions.
Looking at the results of the shoot together, I find myself smiling quietly when I see the team spirit light up in our eyes and recognise in the way we laugh together why Matthias Seehauser and I decided five years ago to found Zeugwerk.
We set off on a journey that, in a world full of technological and social progress, keeps bringing us back to the people with whom we build a stable foundation for new things to emerge.
Because no matter how technical a topic gets: in the end, it is people working with people.
